This book was created specifically as a carrier for a poem written by my cousin for two of her close friends, on the occasion of their marriage. My cousin wanted a way to present the poem to them so that it could be displayed as well as kept safe. I came up with a simple structure that could sit open on a table or mantel to display the amazing poem and images of the couple, or that could be stored flat for safe-keeping. Because the theme of the poem was a partial metaphor for the roots of a family being born, we decided on a natural, earthtoned paper/color scheme. The poem is set in fonts from the Bembo typeface.
